Private Label Safety Gloves: How It Works

Private label means a factory makes the product to your specification and it is sold under your own brand. It lets importers, distributors and retailers build their own glove line without running a factory. If you are not sure how it differs from white label, read our guide on private label vs white label.

What you can customise

Almost every part of a glove can be adjusted to your needs. You can choose the materials, the type of leather and the colours, as well as the sizes and fit. You can add your own logo and brand labels, and choose your packaging, including hang tags, polybags and cartons. You can also pick your product mix, from welding and driver gloves to cut-resistant and winter gloves.

What we need from you

To start, we need your brand name and logo artwork, plus a reference sample, photos or a written spec. Tell us which standards your market requires, for example EN 388 or EN 12477, and give us estimated quantities, sizes and colours. If you have packaging and labelling requirements, send those too.

The process

The process has four steps. First, you send your brief with the product, quantities, sizes, colours and branding, or a reference sample. Second, we make a sample to your spec and you approve the fit, material and finish. Third, we move into bulk production, with checks against the approved sample. Finally, we pack your order with your private-label packaging and prepare the export documents, then ship it to you.

Tips for a smooth first order

Start with one to three core models instead of a full catalogue, so you can test the market. Check the certification needs of your country before sampling, and always approve a physical sample before bulk production. It also helps to read how our OEM process works and how minimum orders and pricing are set before you finalise your plan.
